The thirty-first International Islamic Unity Conference has kicked off in the Iranian capital Tehran.

About 520 dignitaries and scholars are attending this year’s event which is held on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary. The event is aimed at promoting unity and peace among all Muslims.
