Pars Today - Iranian users on the social network X (formerly Twitter) criticized the insult to Jesus Christ at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, calling it one of the ugliest scenes in Olympic history.

The 2024 France Olympics officially began on Friday evening (July 26) with a 6.5-kilometer ceremony along the Seine River in Paris, featuring a parade of boats carrying athletes and flagbearers from various countries.

According to Pars Today, unlike previous Olympics that took place inside the stadium, this ceremony was held in an open space in Paris.

The appearance of LGBTQ figures in musical and theatrical performances, alongside scenes that insulted morality and religion, was part of the Paris Olympics opening ceremony that left people around the world in disbelief.

An Iranian activist on the social network X, with the username Pegah Milan, described the insult to the followers of Jesus Christ (PBUH) as an insult to history, beliefs, and culture. She wrote:

"This was the greatest insult to the followers of Christ. This is not called freedom. No, no, no, this is an insult to history, beliefs, and culture."

Ultimate vulgarity

Ali, another Iranian activist on the social network X, considered the insult to Jesus Christ (PBUH) at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony the ultimate vulgarity and wrote:

"The ultimate vulgarity at the 2024 France Olympics, showing the peak of the decline of Western culture, is illustrated with a new depiction of the famous painting of Jesus Christ with his apostles. In this depiction at the France Olympics, a fat prostitute replaces Jesus Christ, and around this woman are homosexual men and women."

The ugliest Olympics in history

An Iranian social network user on X, "Montazer-e Mahdi," described the Paris Olympics as one of the ugliest in history and wrote:

"The Paris Olympics is one of the ugliest Olympics in history. The insult to Jesus Christ was one of the ugly acts that happened at the opening of this Olympics." 
Insulting Jesus is also an insult to Muslims

Mohammad, an Iranian user and activist on the social network X, considered the insult to Jesus Christ (PBUH) at the Olympic opening ceremony an insult to Muslims and wrote:

"Insulting Jesus is also an insult to us Muslims. Insulting any divine prophet is an insult to us. Islam is nothing but submission to divine commands, and anyone in the world who submits to God's command is our friend, and we must support them."

An Iranian activist on the social network X, with the username "Fatemeh Montazer al-Mahdi," emphasized the need to respond to the insult to Jesus (PBUH) at the Paris Olympics and wrote:

"Insulting the sanctities and Jesus at the 2024 Olympics! This shameless insult should not go unanswered!"

Curse to this satanic Olympics

A user named "Mohammad Holmes" criticized the organizers of the Paris Olympics in a tweet. He wrote:

"As a Muslim, I am really upset! Why should a bunch of sexual deviants insult Jesus at the Olympic opening ceremony?! Curse to the French government and this satanic Olympics!"
