Al-Akhbar analysis: Characteristics making Hezbollah invincible
Pars Today- Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar wrote, "In spite of severe war against Hezbollah and announcement of ceasefire in November 2024, Israel has failed to reach its strategic objectives.
Israeli commanders have stressed that the, "battle is not accomplished yet", but it is very hard and just a phantasy to disintegrate Hezbollah due to the structural and social characteristics. According to Pars Today, Al-Akhbar pointed to the main causes of Israel's failure to completely weaken Hezbollah and wrote, "The decentralized and resilient structure of Hezbollah, intertwinement with the society and constant popular support, deep ideology within the movement which has made it resistant against psychological attacks and the leadership and military reconstruction during the war, with Naim Qasem, are the most important reasons which have caused Israel to fail in weakening Hezbollah."
This Beirut-based newspaper, then referred to the regional situation of Hezbollah and added, "The new Syrian government is inclined towards the West and Israel and is threatening the logistic lines of Hezbollah. In addition, the new government in Lebanon has pressured Hezbollah with the motto of "monopoly of weapons" and has made foreign aid dependent on accepting Israel's conditions. But, despite these pressures, Hezbollah has managed to preserve its social, ideological and military status and remained a major player in Lebanon."
