Protests by families of Israeli captives
Pars Today – Families of Israeli prisoners gathered in front of the residence of Israel Katz, the Israeli minister of war, in the town of Kfar Ahim, demanding an end to the Gaza war and the return of Israeli prisoners.
On Friday night, several families of Israeli captives held by the Resistance in Gaza gathered outside the home of Israel Katz, Israel’s minister of war, in the town of Kfar Ahim (southern occupied Palestine), demanding an end to the war and the return of Israeli prisoners.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the families chanted slogans against Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet and criticized the Israeli prime minister for neglecting the fate of the prisoners.
Call by families of Israeli captives for demonstrations and strike
The protest took place as families of Israeli prisoners issued a statement urging people from all sectors in the Occupied Territories to participate in large-scale demonstrations on Saturday in Tel Aviv and occupied al-Quds.
This protest, organized ahead of a nationwide strike on Sunday, carries the slogan: “Today’s Silence = Tomorrow’s Destruction.” Organizers have promised dozens of simultaneous marches in various cities.
Rapid occupation of Gaza underway
Meanwhile, Israel’s Kan News reported that the Israeli military is planning a rapid operation in Gaza. The outlet stated that political officials have asked the army to develop a plan for the swift occupation of the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, the proposals and plans are scheduled for review on Saturday night, and on Sunday, Eyal Zamir, Chief of Staff of the Israeli military, will travel to the southern West Bank to approve the prepared plan for the Gaza occupation.
Formation of a Palestinian state: A victory for Hamas
Amir Ohana, Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, told the U.S. Newsmax network that statements by some Western leaders regarding the recognition of a Palestinian state represent a major victory for Hamas.
Addressing French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Ohana said: “If you want to establish a Palestinian state, do it in London or Paris.”
Macron intends to officially announce France’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations General Assembly in September. Other countries, including the UK, Australia, Canada, Finland, New Zealand, Portugal, Andorra, Malta, San Marino, Luxembourg, and several others, have joined the initiative in a joint statement led by France.
Use of Microsoft for espionage
The British newspaper The Guardian reported that Microsoft has launched an urgent investigation into claims that Israel used the company’s technology to monitor Palestinians.
The inquiry focuses on the use of the Israeli military’s Unit 8200 with a Microsoft-owned platform that was employed to store conversations of Palestinians. Microsoft has also expressed concern over reports suggesting that Israeli intelligence services used these recorded conversations on the platform to identify and target locations for bombings in Gaza.
Israeli official: Netanyahu is a coward
Aharon Haliva, former head of Israeli military intelligence, stated: “Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, is essentially a coward!”
He also criticized the former chief of staff of the Israeli army, saying that Herzi Halevi suffers from paranoid disorder. Haliva attributed the October 7 failure to years of Netanyahu’s incompetence, emphasizing that “this disaster did not happen in a single night; we ignored the warning signs for years.”
