Siege of Gaza continues after two years of war and severe humanitarian conditions
Pars Today – Two years into the Gaza war, the humanitarian situation in the region has reached a catastrophic level.
According to reports from international organizations, the blockade of humanitarian aid by the Zionist regime has brought about a wave of famine, displacement, and death, placing over half a million people in critical conditions.
Reporting from Iran's official IRIB News Agency, Pars Today states that as the second anniversary of the Gaza war approaches, the humanitarian situation in the strip is reported to be more dire than ever. Based on published statistics, over 67,000 Palestinians have been martyred, and approximately 2 million people have been displaced due to the conflict. Humanitarian organizations, including Oxfam, have announced that since the end of the ceasefire in March 2025, the delivery of humanitarian aid has faced extensive obstacles from the Zionist regime. This near-total blockade, coupled with the ongoing violence, has turned life for Gaza's residents into hell.
Currently, over half a million people in Gaza are facing catastrophic conditions characterized by starvation, poverty, and death. According to an August 2025 report by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), famine has been confirmed in parts of Gaza, with warnings that this situation will spread in the coming weeks. Additionally, another 1.07 million people, equivalent to 54% of Gaza's population, are grappling with emergency levels of hunger.
By systematically obstructing aid, the Zionist regime has exacerbated chronic shortages of food, water, medicine, and essential services, including healthcare, throughout Gaza. Numerous legal analyses emphasize that these obstructions constitute a key part of the acts of genocide being committed by this regime in Gaza. Human rights experts and international law stress that only a permanent ceasefire can end the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip and allow humanitarian groups to carry out their life-saving work.
