Iraq reaffirms commitment to prevent any threats against neighboring countries

Pars Today – The Iraqi government said in a statement that the country’s armed forces are fully prepared to thwart any attempt to threaten neighboring countries from Iraqi territory.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, the Iraqi government said that during a meeting chaired by Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, mechanisms to prevent any threats against neighboring countries originating from Iraqi soil were reviewed.
The statement added that Iraq’s armed forces once again reaffirmed their commitment to preventing the use of Iraqi territory as a launch point or transit route for any actions targeting neighboring countries.
The Iraqi government concluded by emphasizing that its armed forces are fully prepared to counter any attempt to threaten neighboring countries within Iraq’s surrounding region.
