Chief of Staff of the Syrian Armed Forces called on the Russian Air Force to continue hitting Daesh's sites across the country, condemning the US-led coalition's air attacks on government positions in Deir Ezzur.

The Syrian chief of staff called on the Russian leadership to continue targeting Daesh terrorists' centers after the US-led coalition killed tens of army soldiers in air attacks in Deir Ezzur, which paved the way for Daesh to capture army's site in al-Thardah mountain.

"I believe that the United States has blatantly violated the ceasefire agreement. It seems that by conducting this airstrike the coalition aviation wants to pave the way for the Daesh terrorists to seize the entire Deir Ezzur," the Syrian chief of staff added.

The General Command of the Syrian army said that the US-led coalition bombed the Syrian army positions in Deir Ezzur, killing some 80 soldiers and injuring 100 more.

A military source said earlier today that the Daesh launched attacks on the Syrian army positions in Deir Ezzur only 7 minutes after the US-led coalition's airstrikes on Saturday, adding that the air and ground assault were highly coordinated.
