Iranian miniature painting masterpieces go on display in Moscow
Pars Today — Images of masterpieces of Iranian miniature painting and exquisite Persian artworks have gone on display at an exhibition in Moscow.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the exhibition, titled “From Rope to Horse Tack,” has opened in Moscow and features images of delicate Iranian miniatures centered on the theme of horses.
The exhibition showcases works by some of the greatest masters in the history of Iranian miniature painting, including Kamal-ud-Din Behzad, as well as contemporary artists such as Master Farshchian, Dr. Esmati, and Badr al-Sama. The artworks encompass Iranian national and religious themes, along with various mythological and mystical subjects.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Olga Vladimirovna, director of Moscow’s Museum of Horse Breeding, which is hosting the cultural event, described cultural and artistic cooperation with Iran as highly valuable and called it an effective step toward expanding cultural diplomacy.
Seyed Nasser Tabaei, deputy head of the Iranian Avicenna Foundation for Islamic Studies in Russia, also stated that such exhibitions help strengthen mutual understanding between the two nations, adding that the language of art and culture can contribute to the promotion of international peace and friendship.
Zahra Rashidbeigi, deputy cultural attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, likewise emphasized the need to further enhance cultural ties between the two countries.
