Government employees in Wadi al-Bardi in western Ghouta said that Ein al-Fijeh's water facilities have been repaired and all the water pipelines from the reservoirs to Damascus will come back into operation by Wednesday.

A local official said that pumping water from Ein al-Fijeh spring to Damascus started yesterday (Monday) and water started flowing in several districts in the city.

"The terrorists have inflicted much damage on the pipelines in Wadi al-Bardi and Haroush regions, but repair and maintenance teams will be through with repairing them by tomorrow," he continued.

"People in Damascus will cut gradually their dependence on water wells they used in the last 37 days after repairing the pipelines from Wadi al-Bardi to Damascus," the sources added.

Meantime, Damascus Governor General Ala Ibrahim said earlier today that over 40 buses evacuated over 2,000 militants and their family members from Wadi al-Bardi region in western Ghouta.

Ibrahim said that over 2,150 militants and their family members left Wadi al-Bardi region for militant-held regions in Idlib, adding those militants that had applied for government pardoning have received amnesty.

He went on to say that simultaneous with the evacuation of militants, water facilities in the village of Ein al-Fijeh were fixed and drinking water was pumped to citizens in Damascus.
