  • In support of Israel, Sweden prosecutes Palestinian advocates

Pars Today - Swedish authorities have placed several individuals under legal scrutiny for protesting against the Zionist regime's atrocities in the Gaza Strip.

Also on February 14th, Palestinian supporters during a session in the Swedish parliament, interrupted a speech by the country's Foreign Minister Tobias Billström, to denounce the foreign policy agenda of the Stockholm government and condemned the Zionist regime's attacks on the Gaza Strip as genocide.

According to Anadolu news agency, Billström supported what he called Israel's "right to self-defense" against Hamas during his speech.

Meanwhile, one of the Palestinian supporters interrupted his remarks and shouted: Israel is committing genocide. How can you support this?

The disruption continued in this session as protesters chanted, saying: "Everyone sees and hears how children in Gaza are losing their lives."

Security personnel then removed them from the place, accusing them of "disrupting judicial proceedings," and one of them remains in police custody.

Sweden has long positioned itself as a European supporter of Palestine and even became the first EU member to recognize the state of Palestine in 2014. However, a decade later, Sweden has become an all-out supporter of the Zionist regime due to its alignment with the current US administration.

Following the intensified blockade and operations by the Zionist regime from air, sea, and land against the Gaza Strip, more than 32,000 Palestinians have been martyred, most of whom are women and children. Over 75,000 Palestinians have been also injured.
