Over 50 countries call for arms embargo on Zionist regime

Pars Today - More than 50 countries have called on the UN Security Council and General Assembly to impose an arms embargo on the Zionist regime.

More than 50 countries worldwide have asked the UN Security Council and General Assembly to take immediate steps to prevent the sale or transfer of arms to the Zionist regime, as the number of war victims in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank continues to rise.

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, the countries that signed this request stated: There are strong reasons to believe that the arms delivered to the Zionist regime are being used in ongoing violent actions against Palestinian civilians, which is a clear violation of international law.

In this message, addressed to Antonio Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, and relevant UN bodies, which mentions the high number of Palestinian martyrs and wounded, particularly children and women, it is stated that the continued aggression of the Zionist regime as an occupying power and its violation of international law for over a year is unacceptable and requires immediate action to prevent a worsening of the humanitarian situation and reduce the growing threat of a wider regional war.

These countries, while calling for immediate action by the Security Council, including the declaration of an immediate ceasefire and the implementation of previous resolutions to protect civilians and prosecute war criminals (Zionists), also demanded the issuance of a clear statement calling for the halt of arms transfers to the Zionist regime, as accusations against this regime of genocide against the Palestinian people have increased.

The goal of this message is to stop the Zionist regime's violation of international law in Palestinian territories, particularly in the Gaza Strip, which has intensified since the start of the devastating aggression on October 7, 2023.

For over a year, the Zionist regime, with US support, has been waging a genocidal war against Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of over 43,000 Palestinians and the injury of over 100,000 others, mostly children and women.
