European representatives called for sanctions against Israel
Pars Today – In an unprecedented response to the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, 41 members of the European Parliament called for the suspension of trade relations with Israel, presenting this move as a reaction to the regime's persistent disregard for international law.
Forty-one members of the European Parliament, in a rare move, demanded the suspension of trade relations with the Zionist regime. According to Pars Today, citing the Mehr News Agency, this request comes in response to the ongoing crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza and the West Bank. Representatives from various European countries, in an official letter to senior EU officials, including Ursula von der Leyen and António Costa, called for a halt to trade relations with Israel. The letter references the martyrdom of over 60,000 Palestinians in Gaza, stating that humanitarian aid has been turned into a weapon for mass starvation and that the crimes of the Zionist regime have become its official policy.
Denial of Gaza Genocide by the U.S. and Its Allies in the Security Council
The representatives of the U.S., Britain, and France in the Security Council, by supporting the Zionist regime, ignored its crimes in Gaza. Deputy U.S. Representative Dorothy Sheehan labeled the claim of genocide as Hamas's political propaganda and emphasized that Washington supports Israel's right to self-defense. Meanwhile, Israel has created a severe humanitarian crisis by imposing food and medical blockades on Gaza, while the West continues to fuel these atrocities through silence or approval.
Launch of a Campaign in Italy Demanding an End to the Genocide of Palestinians
Over 100 representatives from universities, factories, labor unions, political leaders, intellectuals, clergy, associations, activists, and Italian media issued a call in support of the people of Gaza. The appeal calls for the revival of popular mobilization to support the Palestinian people and resistance and to stop the Zionist regime's genocide in Gaza. The statement reads: "A massive popular front stands with the Palestinian people! Let’s stop Israel’s genocide from the streets and through struggle!"
Ulyanov: China Buys Oil in Line with Its National Interests
Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, dismissed U.S. pressure to stop buying oil from Russia, stating that China purchases oil based on its national interests. Ulyanov wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "China rejected the U.S. request to halt oil purchases from Russia." He added: "The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that pressure would not work. China defends its sovereignty and buys oil in accordance with its national interests."
New Phase of Nuclear Cooperation Between Russia and China
During a meeting of the joint nuclear committee between Russia and China, the two countries discussed progress on current projects and expanding long-term cooperation in the peaceful use of atomic energy. The meeting concluded with the signing of a cooperation protocol. According to reports, with Russia’s participation, China has so far constructed four power units at the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant, as well as a demonstration fast-neutron reactor (CEFR). The two countries are also working on the CFR-600 fast-neutron reactor project.
Protests in Tel Aviv Against Netanyahu
Netanyahu and the Zionist regime’s cabinet’s decision to fully occupy Gaza has sparked widespread protests and anger among Zionists living in the occupied territories, with demonstrators rallying against Netanyahu’s policies. Many Zionists demand an end to the war and reject the criminal prime minister’s decision to continue and expand it. Israeli media sources reported on Tuesday night that protesters burned tires, blocking one of Tel Aviv’s main streets and disrupting traffic.
