Pars Today – The spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected the West's position that Tehran has been weakened, stating: "The idea of Iran's weakness is an illusion."
Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an interview with Germany's Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper, responded to the question that there is a perception Iran has been weakened and that Western powers believe they are in a strong position in negotiations and can play the role of the "tough party." He added: "The idea of Iran's weakness is an illusion, and they are once again repeating their mistaken perception."
According to Pars Today, Baghaei emphasized: "If they think they can force Iran to surrender through pressure, they are mistaken."
