Pars Today – The English-language Tehran Times published an exclusive report exposing Germany’s military involvement during the 12-day Israeli aggression against Iran. The report indicates that Berlin’s support for Tel Aviv went beyond political backing, extending to troop deployment and on-the-ground cooperation.

According to the Tehran Times, during the 12-day Israeli attacks in June on Iran’s military, nuclear, and civilian facilities, Germany was among the few countries to openly support the operation. At the time, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that Israel was “doing the West’s dirty work,” remarks that sparked public outrage in both Germany and Iran.

According to the report, Berlin, under a secret agreement with the Israeli military, deployed a group of its forces to the Occupied Territories to participate in military operations. The report states that this cooperation was conducted under complete secrecy, but documents detailing the presence and identities of these forces are now in the hands of Iranian authorities.

Pars Today, quoting Mehr News Agency, reported that this is not the first time Germany has played a role in attacks on Iran. During the eight-year imposed war by Iraq's Ba'ath party against Iran, German-made chemical weapons were supplied to Saddam’s regime. However, in the recent conflict, following Iran’s intensified counterattacks and rising risks, the German forces have withdrawn from the Occupied Territories.

While Germany’s constitution prohibits deploying troops to foreign wars without parliamentary approval, it remains unclear whether this action was authorized by lawmakers. The revelation comes amid a widening security crisis in the Occupied Territories, where espionage cases have surged by more than 400% in 2024.
