Pars Today – The First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that violence and extremism have no place in Islam or in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Mohammad Reza Aref, First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said on Friday at a meeting of the headquarters marking the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of the Prophet of Islam that, while enemies claim Muslims are inclined toward extremism and violence, some groups influenced by Western thinking have carried out violent acts in the name of Islam. He noted that it soon became clear to everyone that these groups were in fact affiliated with the West.

According to Pars Today, Aref added that violence and extremism have no place in Islam or in the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that Islamophobia is a serious Western strategy, which, under the slogans of human rights and freedom, has been turned into a tool for repression and pressure against rivals. He said, “We have no connection with violence and do not endorse any individual or country. However, if we compare the West’s behavior toward refugees and the people of Gaza with its approach to Ukraine, it becomes clear how these so-called civilized countries deal with wars and what crimes they have also committed on the African continent.”

Dutch politician calls EU loan to Ukraine “madness”

Amid the ongoing Russia–Ukraine conflict, Geert Wilders, leader of the far-right Party for Freedom (PVV) in the Netherlands, criticized Prime Minister Dick Schoof for agreeing to Amsterdam’s participation in a joint European Union loan to Kyiv, describing the loan to Ukraine as “madness.” He added that the €90 billion joint loan is nothing more than euro bonds in a new guise—money the European Union will never see again.

U.S. attack on areas in Syria

Reports from Syria say that the U.S. military, continuing its illegal military presence in the country, has carried out airstrikes on more than 70 locations allegedly linked to ISIS terrorist elements in various parts of eastern Syria. U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth claimed that the operation was carried out in retaliation for a recent attack in Palmyra, adding: “This is not the beginning of a war; it is a declaration of retaliation.”
