Pars Today – The US President has been forced to retreat from his threats regarding an attack on Iran’s energy facilities.

In response to Donald Trump’s threats to strike Iran’s energy infrastructure after a 48-hour deadline, Iran warned that if such threats were carried out, attacks on the energy and vital infrastructure of the Israeli regime and the United States in the region would be placed on the agenda of Iran’s military forces.

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Trump, following Tehran’s firm warning of reciprocal action against any aggression targeting energy infrastructure, backed down from his threats to attack Iran’s energy facilities.

In a message on social media, Trump wrote that he had ordered the postponement of all attacks against Iran’s energy facilities and infrastructure for five days.

Meanwhile, an Iranian source said there had been no direct or indirect communication with Trump, adding that he backed down after hearing that Iran’s targets would include all power plants in West Asia.

Since the beginning of the war until now, messages have been sent to Tehran by some mediators, to which the clear response has been that Iran will continue its defense until it achieves the necessary level of deterrence. Accordingly, no negotiations have been or are currently underway, and with this kind of psychological warfare, neither will the Strait of Hormuz return to pre-war conditions nor will calm return to energy markets.

Political experts believe that pressure from financial markets and threats related to bond markets within the United States and the West have increased, and this has been another important factor behind Trump’s retreat from his threats to attack Iran’s energy infrastructure.
