Pars Today – Slovenia, as the first member of the European Union, has begun fuel rationing to cope with the aftershocks of the illegal war by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.

According to Pars Today, the sharp increase in fuel prices in Slovenia has led to the phenomenon of “fuel tourism,” meaning that citizens travel to neighboring countries such as Austria to take advantage of lower gasoline and diesel prices. Under new measures in Slovenia, private drivers can purchase a maximum of 50 liters of fuel per day.

Following the military attack by the United States and Israel against Iran, Tehran has disrupted the passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz—this important international waterway—which has led to rising oil and gasoline prices worldwide. The increase in oil prices in global markets and concerns over disruptions to major energy transport routes, especially in the Persian Gulf region, have prompted Western countries to adopt emergency measures to control prices. In this regard, the International Energy Agency had previously announced that its member countries would collectively release about 400 million barrels of oil from their emergency reserves, marking the largest release in the organization’s history. Rising fuel prices typically lead to higher transportation costs, increased food prices, and higher household energy bills.
