Pars Today – The Russian Foreign Minister has said that enrichment is Iran's inalienable right.
According to Pars Today, citing Fars News Agency, Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, said on Wednesday, emphasizing that Moscow will welcome any decision regarding enriched uranium that secures Iran's satisfaction within the framework of its legal rights, that enrichment is Iran's inalienable right.
Emphasizing the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities, he said: "The International Atomic Energy Agency has never recorded that uranium enrichment in Iran had military purposes. The right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes is an inherent and inalienable right for Iran."
Lavrov, defending the Islamic Republic's actions in defending Iranian territory against the aggressions of the Zionist regime and the United States, said: "The Persian Gulf countries are well aware that Iran would not take aggressive actions in the region without American and Israeli attacks."
The Russian Foreign Minister further called on the United States to stop its war against Iran. He said: "I hope that America will be realistic and will not continue its aggression in West Asia; a situation from which even that country's allies are suffering."
