Trump’s labor secretary resigns

Pars Today – The White House announced that Lori Chavez-DeRemer, the U.S. Secretary of Labor, is leaving the administration of President Donald Trump.
According to Pars Today, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung wrote on the social media platform X: “Lori Chavez-DeRemer will leave the Trump administration to accept a position in the private sector.” Cheung added that Deputy Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling will assume the role as acting secretary.
Chavez-DeRemer’s departure comes as a U.S. inspector general’s report on an investigation into her conduct is expected to be released soon. She has been under investigation over allegations of misconduct, including claims of an inappropriate relationship with a security official, as well as an internal departmental review regarding the possible misuse of her position. Chavez-DeRemer served for more than a year as labor secretary in the Trump administration.
