American analyst: Iran emerged stronger from war
Pars Today – An American analyst says the U.S. military operation has left Iran in a stronger position than it was before the war.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Brandon Weichert, Senior National Security Editor at the website 1945 (19FortyFive), said in an interview with RT that the joint military action by the United States and the Israeli regime failed to alter the strategic balance of power in West Asia.
The analyst also argued that Washington has been unable to achieve any meaningful strategic gains, either through the war or the subsequent agreement.
RT reported that Weichert's remarks come as Washington and Tehran continue to exchange conflicting signals regarding diplomacy following the temporary agreement.
The media outlet added that while U.S. President Donald Trump has said he expects negotiations to continue, Iranian officials have stressed that no bilateral talks at the senior-official level are currently planned. According to U.S. and Qatari officials, technical discussions are continuing in Doha through Qatari mediators.
