Iran seeking to resolve Rohingya Muslims' carnage

A senior diplomat underlined that Iran is resolved to put an end to the genocide of the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

"Iran's official diplomacy in Myanmar has been de-escalation of conflicts between the Buddhists and Muslims," Iran's Accredited Ambassador to Myanmar Mohsen Mohammadi said on Sunday.

He reiterated that Iran has pursued the policy of acting with a long-term view and beyond the recent crisis in Myanmar.

"Iran has paid special attention to Rohingya Muslims and their miseries and has always taken proper measure, but at the same time has tried that this crisis does not turn into something between the Buddhists and the Muslims," Mohammadi added.

In relevant remarks earlier in October, Deputy Foreign Minister Ebrahim Rahimpour underlined that Iran is finalizing a comprehensive plan to assist the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
