Establishment of New Civilization in 2nd Phase of the Islamic Revolution (6)
Welcome to another episode of our series “Main Revolutionary Ideal: Establishment of New Civilization in 2nd Phase of the Islamic Revolution”.
For your information the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in his address to the senior staff of the foreign ministry last year had cautioned against the plot of the US to sneak into Iran and re-establish its hegemony of the days of monarchial regime, since Washington is the avowed enemy of the Iranian people and their blessed system of Islamic government.
Iran has many reasons for distrusting the US, which has a satanic streak in its nature, but thanks to the vigilance of the Iranian nation has failed in carrying out its nefarious plots.
Recently, the Post-Gazette website of the US in an article by Elizabeth Douglas, analyzed the reasons behind Iran's distrust of the US. She referred to US meddling in Iran's internal affairs, including the 1953 coup against the elected Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mosaddeq, masterminded and staged with Britain's assistance, and code-named Operation Ajax for restoring the fugitive Shah to power.
She also pointed: As of the year 1856, in defence of its sovereignty and territorial integrity against British encroachment in southern Iran and Khorasan that resulted in the unsuccessful war to retake Herat from Afghan occupation, Iran has never started a war. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, Iran was the victim of the joint plots and aggressions of imperial Britain and Czarist Russia. During World War 2 Britain and the Soviet Union chalked out their areas of control in Iran. After transformation of oil into a commodity with global value, the US also entered this hegemonic game against Iran, and for almost 26 years until the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 was in complete control of the country.
Even the 8-year war of the 1980s was not started by Iran but was imposed by the US through Saddam of the repressive Ba’th minority regime of Baghdad.
Throughout the 8-year imposed war, the US supplied Iraq with state-of-the-art military technology including chemical weapons, and when Saddam used these internationally banned substance against Iran, Washington turned a blind eye.
The US also blindly supports the nuclear-armed Zionist regime, which is an illegal entity and which has a bloody record of wars and terrorism against neighbouring countries. Thus, while Iran has never attacked any country and is the prime victim of terrorism, suffering at least 17,000 deaths, including the loss of senior officials, at the hands of the MKO terrorists, it is portrayed as a threat to the peace of the region, and wrongly called the chief sponsor of terrorism. Thus, Iran has logical reasons for distrusting the US and its empty promises.
Earlier this month, on November 4, the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in his keynote remarks on the National Day of Campaign against Global Arrogance, marking the historic takeover of the US Den of Spies in Tehran, underscored that the solution to the country's problems is preservation of the revolutionary spirit. This means trust in God, courage, insight, and fulfillment of the guidelines of the Father of Islamic Revolution, late Imam Khomeini (RA), who always advocated vigilance, hope in the future, creativeness in all fields for attaining self-sufficiency, and refusal to submit to the enemy.
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out that the policy and innate nature of the arrogant US administration is based on excessive and illogical demands. This hegemonic policy has been enforced by the successive US administrations in different parts of the world, especially in West Asia, where pre-Islamic Revolution Iran was under complete domination of Washington.
He made it clear that experience has shown Iran should not expect any assistance from Western regimes because of their unreliable nature and failure to honour their own commitments to treaties and accords. The story is of conspiracy, betrayal, and backstabbing by the European powers and the US, which on no account should be relied upon.
The Leader of Islamic Revolution rejected the idea of talks with the US, saying that holding negotiations with the bullying US regime does not make any sense and will not lead to the end of American hostility and enmity against the people of Iran and their system of government.
Several American conscientious analysts have criticized the prejudiced and hostile policies of their administrations against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The US-based Foreign Policy Publication has deplored the misconstrued policies of Donald Trump against Iran, while noting that the Islamic Republic will not submit to Washington’s pressures.
A senior analyst at the CNN TV network believes that continuation of Trump’s illegal activities and wide-scale breach of human rights, are to the detriment of the long-term interests of the US, and will lead to US isolation worldwide.
Naturally, the US officials can never win the trust of the Iranian nation.
