Another win for Iran and a setback for the US

The Islamic Republic of Iran, despite the intense campaign of lies and wild accusations by the US regime, continues to move forward with its policy of adherence to truth and clear facts in all field, the latest being the recent visit to Iran of the IAEA Chief, and his confirmation of Iran’s compliance with the nuclear accord, much to the chagrin of Washington.

No we have a viewpoint that appeared on Monday in Iran’s English language daily titled: “Another win for Iran and a setback for the US.”

The following couplet from the 17^th century English poet, Samuel Butler, is an apt description of the controversies kicked up by the quixotic US president, Donald Trump, who speaks nothing but lies, and blinded by wealth and power has become arrogantly ignorant of all facts and realities, especially those concerning the prudence, prestige, and peaceful policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran:

“For truth is precious and divine; Too rich a pearl for carnal swine.”

On Sunday, Head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Japan’s Yukiya Amano, who was in Tehran on a routine visit to meet Iran’s senior officials and discuss related issues after verifying the orderly functioning of Iran’s peaceful atomic programme, said:

“Since January 2016, the IAEA has been monitoring and verifying the nuclear related commitments made by Iran under the JCPOA. The IAEA believes that the JCPOA is a significant gain. The IAEA can state that the nuclear-related commitments made by Iran under the JCPOA are being implemented.”

Amano’s attestation that Iran is fully complying with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the first since Trump’s unilateral violation of the 7-nation international accord earlier this month, is not expected to be appreciated by the US Administration, as is clear from Butler’s description of truth, facts and realities as “divine”, and “too rich a pearl for carnal swine”, but his latest verification of Iran’s compliance is indeed another international slap for the White House.

Kayhan International said: In what could be called the busting of lies of Trump and company, the IAEA Chief added: “The most important thing is to be factual; it is very important to stick to the rules and I will continue to do so.”

 The paper said: To the further embarrassment of the warmongering rogues in Washington, whose growing doomsday nuclear arsenal is beyond the domain of inspection of the IAEA, but who have raised the illogical demand of inspection of Iran’s non-nuclear military sites, Amano’s Iranian counterpart, Ali Akbar Salehi, said in the joint press conference without mincing words: “(Iran’s) military bases are not part of the deal, so it's useless to talk about them.”

Amano’s latest trip to Tehran and the fact that since the 2015 Geneva Accord the IAEA has released eight reports verifying Iran’s full compliance with its commitments, not just exposes the preposterous lies of Trump and his team, but is a firm proof of the peaceful policies of the Islamic Republic, both at home and in the region (against terrorism), especially in view of the famous fatwa of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, that Islam considers as “haram” (religiously forbidden) the manufacture of nuclear and all other weapons of mass destruction.

In view of these facts, and what the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, has said in support of Iran’s stance, the onus is now on the major European States to save the JCPOA and not sacrifice their honesty and independence on the altar of the unholy US-Zionist-Saudi Trinity by making unwarranted remarks about Iran’s right to test, upgrade and manufacture conventional weapons, including ballistic missiles for its national defence in the face of the massive weaponry sold by Washington’s client regimes for funding terrorists and destabilizing countries.

The English daily pointed out: As for the campaign against terrorism and promotion of ties with neighbouring states, Iran doesn’t need the permission of any outside power to protect the peace and stability of the region at the invitation of the governments and peoples of regional countries.

Whether the US likes it or not, the Islamic Republic will fully stand beside all brotherly nations and the popular anti-terrorist organisations representing the aspirations of their oppressed people, with a loud and clear message for Uncle Sam: Stop messing around with the fate of the Iraqi, Syrian, Lebanese, Palestinian, Afghan, Pakistani, Kurdish, Bahraini, Yemeni, Najrani, Hijazi, and all other peoples, or else your forces in the region will be considered terrorists.  

So our sincere advice to the Americans: Acknowledge Truth since it is Divine.
