Iran and the Iranian people are celebrating the Ten-Day-Dawn to mark yet another anniversary of the resounding victory of the Islamic Revolution which has now entered its 40th year, gaining more and more strength and popularity despite the plots of the US, whose illegal interests in Iran ended with the overthrow of the repressive British-installed Pahlavi regime in 1979, because of the might of the grassroots movement of the people.

Today on the 3rd of the Ten-Day Dawn, we present you an interesting Viewpoint that appeared in the Iranian English daily Kayhan International, written by S. Nawabzadeh, and titled: Millions vs minions, as Islamic Revolution enters 40th year.”

Kayhan International recalled the memorable events of the first week of February 1979, pointing out that it was a historic day, or more properly “a red letter day in the age-old chronology of Iran, when 39 years ago in 1979, millions of Iranians converged on Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport to accord an unprecedented welcome to the Father of the Islamic Revolution on his return home from some 15-years in exile.

“This year’s Ten-Day-Dawn celebrations mark the entry of Islamic Iran into its 40th glorious year, and the millions who had greeted Imam Khomeini (RA) on his arrival; the millions who had rushed to the warfronts on his appeal to protect Iran’s territorial integrity – when the US launched the 8-year war through Saddam of the repressive Ba’th minority regime of Baghdad; the millions who bade adieu to the Founder of the Islamic Republic on his departure from the mortal world in 1989; the millions who have continued to respond to the call of his worthy successor Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for the past thirty years to safeguard national sovereignty and transnational goals; the millions of Iranians who flock to the annual Arba’een pilgrimage in Karbala; and the millions who every year assemble at holy shrines throughout Iran, especially Mashhad, Qom, Shiraz, Rayy, and Jamkaran to usher in Nowrouz (New Year) with the prayer for the reappearance of the Imam of the Age and his global government of peace, prosperity and justice, are by the Grace of God, the solid pillars of the Islamic Revolution whom no storms or quakes can shake, let alone the minions on the payroll of the US.”

Kayhan International said: “Like a colossus, unperturbed by the feverish propaganda of the past four decades of its avowed enemies, who had resented its emergence in 1979 and who ever since have ritually wished its demise, the Islamic Republic of Iran continues its forward march towards the pinnacles of progress despite the most intricate plots and sanctions, as the influence of the Islamic Revolution steadily spreads far and wide from its geographical-political borders.

“In other words, thanks to the scores of millions of Iranians who have steadfastly supported the dynamic concept of Vilayat-e Faqih (Governance of the Supreme Jurisprudent), the Islamic Republic continues to make astounding progress in all fields, for example, mastering nuclear, stem cell, nano, space, missile, and other modern technologies.

“The point is, we are so busy with managing our affairs and at the same time sharing the concerns of our friends and well-wishers in the region and the world, because of the encouragement we draw from the million-man marches which are all set to peak nationwide on February 11 (Bahman 22), that we have no time to reflect on the rubbish our roguish enemies religiously chant against us.

“Imam Khomeini had rightly said: Our revolution is a burst of light.

“Indeed, so bright are the rays of the Islamic Revolution that nations in our neighbourhood have not only become fully cognizant of the manifest truth, but have discovered their self-confidence and inner energies to confront and thwart the sinister designs of the big powers and their minions.

“On the other hand, the supernova of the Islamic Revolution has blinded the devilish powers to such an extent that they see nothing but darkness ahead of them, and in a vain bid to overcome their blurred vision, they resort to the most quixotic measures against Iran, such as heaping wild accusations, blaring preposterous lies, thundering theatrical threats, dreaming like dotards of government-change, and wishing that a few thugs, traitors and terrorists would somehow overthrow the Islamic Republic.”

Kayhan International remarked: “If wishes were horses, Donald Trump, who accumulated billions through foul play as a crook-businessman, and who was put in the White House as a puppet president by the Zionists and other sinister forces, would have already rode to victory.

“However, since Trump cannot see facts and realities, he regularly raves and rants against the Islamic Republic of Iran, little knowing we are unconcerned about his foolish utterances.

“As a matter of fact, whether it is his public or private comments, or the so-called State of the Union annual address, like a robot he chants the anti-Iran mantra the Zionists have inserted into his walnut-size brain.

To sum up, said Kayhan International, “over the past forty years, presidents marching in and out of the White House, whether Democrats or Republicans, have delivered the same number of State of the Union addresses, hoping each year to re-impose US hegemony on Iran.

“Their daydreams, however, have turned into nightmares every time, as the US influence continues to wane in the region while the impact of the Islamic Revolution grows, thanks to the millions of Iranians who at a moment’s notice pour into the streets of the capital and in all cities and towns to reaffirm their allegiance to the ideals of Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei, leaving the minions to share the crumbling fate of their American, Zionist and Arab reactionary masters.”
