Leader: The Zionist entity is illegitimate and will not survive

Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, on Friday, June 15 on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Fitr, following the special Eid Prayer he led in the morning, hosted senior civilian and military officials as well as Muslim representatives of world countries and international bodies in Tehran.

Following a speech by President Hojjat al-Islam Dr. Hassan Rouhani at the gathering, the Leader delivered a speech highlighting Islamic unity and the important issues of the day, saying in clear words that the Zionist entity is illegitimate and this means it will soon be obliterated from the map of West Asia.

Ayatollah Khamenei after glorifying God Almighty for the blessings of Ramadhan and praising the Prophet of Islam and the Infallible Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt, congratulated the gathering, saying that Eid al-Fitr is a source of dignity for Islam and the Muslim Ummah.

He stressed Islamic solidarity and elimination of discord by telling the gathering: “Dear brothers and dear sisters, today the policies of the Arrogant Front are creating tension and discord among Muslim countries and even among the people of these countries. It is a plan that plotters and schemers, of the criminal US and the Zionist entity have devised for our country because it is one of the most important Islamic regions. You can see the signs, presently: the tragic events in Yemen, the events in Syria, and the events which took place in Iraq and other Islamic countries.”

He said: “The solution will be found when Muslim countries discover the main reason for all this turmoil. The main reason stems from the enmity of Global Arrogance against the Islamic Ummah: this is at the core of the issue. Muslims must take a stand against the policies of the Arrogant Front. Standing up to the West is the responsibility of government members, political officials, and the religious, cultural personalities throughout the Islamic World.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution pointed out: “Another severe problem is the Zionist entity, which has been planted in the heart of the Islamic World for the sake of creating discord, causing sedition, and posing threats.”

He was confidant “The Zionist entity will not survive. All historical experiences, certainly, dictate and convey this message. The Zionist entity has fundamental problems. Today, the Americans, several elements of the Zionist entity itself, and some weak-willed governments which are obedient to the US, think that by establishing overt or covert diplomacy with the Zionist entity, they can solve some problems.

“This is not the case. The problems caused by the Zionist entity will not be solved by existence or non-existence of a diplomatic relationship with other governments. It is not the case that problems initiated by the Zionist entity will be resolved should two, three governments – more or less – establish relations with it or break the taboo of establishing relations with "Israel" and join hands with it. The Zionist entity's biggest problem stems from its lack of legitimacy: the Zionist entity is illegitimate; the formation of this regime is based on a lie.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution noted: “The Zionists expelled almost a whole nation from its country by force, via massacres and threats, and with the help of armed forces: they did this to a historical nation. The Palestinian nation is not an illegitimate or newly-emerged nation: the same is true of the country of Palestine.”

He posed the questions: “Are they (the Zionists) able to eliminate Palestine's map from the historical-geographical memory of the world? Is this possible?”

He himself said in reply: “Even if they force several weak-willed countries in the West Asia-North Africa region into establishing diplomatic relations with the Zionist entity, this will not solve their problem: the source of their problems stems from lack of legitimacy.

Ayatollah Khamenei continued: “The Zionist entity’s foundations in the region are shaky, unstable, and faulty: this is not something wherein the key to solving matters are in the hands of other government officials. The people's emotions in some of the countries, which happen to have a long history of friendly relations with the Zionist entity – I will not mention which countries, are getting much tenser towards the Zionist entity than other countries. The overall concern rest with several countries.”

He added: “The Zionist entity’s lack of legitimacy is embedded in the hearts of the Islamic Ummah and this is not erasable. They will not be able to solve this problem with the efforts of the White House and by transferring the US embassy to Quds and other such actions. This problem is unsolvable. And without doubt, by Allah's favor and with the determination of Muslim nations, this regime – which has been created on the basis of falsehood – will be completely destroyed.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said: “Like all free countries in the world, the people of Palestine – real Palestinians – should be asked for their opinions: this includes Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews. Those who are Palestinian – not those who have entered Palestine from other places – should be asked to express their opinions. The votes of those who are Palestinian should become a point of reference. They should be asked to give their opinions. It is they who should determine the government of the country of Palestine. Then, that government will make a decision on those who have entered the region unlawfully – the Zionists, their leaders, and the rest.”

He made it clear: “There is no other way to heal Palestine, By Allah's favor and grace, this [end of the Zionist entity] will definitely happen in the not-too-distant future – one cannot set a date for this time to come, it will happen. And when it happens, Muslim nations will manage to achieve unity in the region, God Willing.”

Ayatollah Khamenei said: “The source of discord in the region is due to the existence of this [Zionist] enemy. The existence of a mutual enemy often leads to unity, but the opposite has been experienced here: the enemy has become a source of discord and indifference. The enemy has become a source for creating cells of treachery among some officials in Islamic countries. When the disunity is crushed, countries will be able to get close to one another, and then, they can preserve their unity and solidarity. Islamic dignity lies in the unity of the Islamic Ummah. By Allah's favor, the Islamic Ummah should achieve the peak of transcendence in the shade of unity, and it will definitely achieve it.”
