Main revolutionary ideal

The sacred Islamic system has entered its fifth decade of existence. One of the features of the new era is continuation and emphasis on the principles and ideals of the Islamic Revolution. One of these revolutionary ideals and principles is supporting the oppressed in the face of arrogant powers.

Islamic Republic of Iran is against invasions and usurpations, and whenever it realizes that a nation is in need of support against invaders, it defends the rights of the oppressed and condemns the invaders.

The Founder of Islamic Republic of Iran, late Imam Khomeini (God's mercy upon him), noted that: "We should support the downtrodden and oppressed people around the world, because the sacred religion of Islam supports the downtrodden across the globe."

Iran's Constitution has put emphasis on support for the oppressed people, worldwide.

The 154^th Tenet of Iran's Constitution notes: "Islamic Republic of Iran supports the righteous struggles of the oppressed and downtrodden in the face of oppressors in any region of the world, while completely refraining from any interference in the internal affairs of other nations."

Meanwhile, significant importance is attached to support for the rights of the oppressed Palestinian nation, given that the issue of Quds and Palestine is the top priority in the World of Islam.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in his keynote remarks in an address to the officials in charge of Hajj pilgrimage, referred to the enemies' intention to sabotage Muslims, especially the issue of Palestine, reminding that: Now, the Americans refer to their Satanic policy toward Palestine, as the Deal of the Century. However, they should know that the so-called Deal of the Century will never materialize; the Palestinian cause will not be forgotten, and Quds will remain as the Capital of Palestine.

Emphasizing that the Palestinian nation will stand firm against this conspiracy and the Muslim nations will also support Palestinian people, the Leader of Islamic Revolution added that a few Islamic governments do not maintain any belief in Islam and have supported the US regime as the result of their absurdity, ignorance, and worldly intentions. But, the Islamic Ummah and Palestinian nation will crush their enemies and will witness the ouster of the spurious Zionist regime of Israel.

The fact of the matter is that the Palestinian nation has been oppressed while the usurper Zionist regime of Israel, which is backed by the US, has turned into a global issue of concern.

Iran's Islamic Revolution has maintained elevated mottos right from its very beginning, including an emphasis on campaign against Global Arrogance, support for administration of freedom and justice, and support for the oppressed around the globe.

In the current juncture in time, protection and safeguard of the ideals in the second phase of the Islamic Revolution is the priority.

The Leader of Islamic Revolution, in an address to worshippers at Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine in the holy city of Mashhad, in the beginning of the new Iranian solar calendar year 1397, elaborated on the reasons behind the solidity and eternity of the values of Islamic Revolution in the 40^th anniversary of the establishment of sacred Islamic system, while noting that the presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in some of the regional countries has taken place upon the request of governments and nations.

The statement related to the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution underlines that the Islamic Revolution has courageously defended the oppressed and downtrodden, which is a source of honor for Islamic Iran and Iranian people.

During the recent years, West Asia has faced major challenges in relation to emergence of terrorist, and takfiri outfits. These terrorist outfits have intended to undermine Iran's spiritual influence among Muslim nations, in order to somehow further the infiltration of the spurious Zionist regime of Israel in West Asia. However, the important victories of the resistance front in Iraq and Syria; and the events which unfolded in recent years in the region showed that the regional nations can powerfully stand up against the schemes of the enemies, upon setting their hopes on the future. Some of the accomplishments of this grand movement are the reinforcement of role of nations in their support for the freedom-seeking movements, promotion of the anti-arrogance spirit, and the identification of the nature of Great Satan by cultural elites.

Currently, the Islamic Republic of Iran has turned into an independent and powerful player in different scenes, and despite of the acts of sabotage and schemes of the foes; the Islamic Revolution has been empowered on a daily basis.

Defending the Palestinian cause, supports the oppressed, and will pave the way for reinforcement of security of Iran's surrounding region, which is one of the important principles in the defense and deterrence doctrine of Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of threats.
