US State Department makes baseless claims against Iran (4)

The US foreign policy records mirror crimes against humanity. However, the US State Department ironically studies and publishes the human right records of other countries. Undoubtedly, the US is a partner in war crimes against humanity. This fact was crystal clear in the US direct and indirect role in the Iraqi imposed war against Iran, and in provision of chemical weapons for Saddam’s regime, in addition to the muted reaction of the US toward the former Iraqi regime’s widespread usage of chemic

The US and its cohorts made strenuous efforts for years to impose their bullish policies on the world under the pretext of what they referred to as support for human rights. The US and its allies claim to champion human rights, as a lame excuse for justification of their military interference in other countries and commitment of war crimes against women and children.

The US and its cohorts have categorized human beings into first, second, and third class citizens. In Western outlook, the lives of human beings in Asia, Africa, and Latin America do not matter, while the lives of people in the US and West Europe is treasured. In fact, based on this perspective, the security of the US and Europe is of paramount importance, while the security of the rest of mankind is irrelevant and unimportant. In West’s logic; the US, the illegal Zionist entity, and their client regimes are allowed to torture and terrorize their opponents.

In fact, based on this groundless and ignorant ideology, the US provided unwavering support for Saddam’s regime throughout the imposed war against Iran, while the former Iraqi dictator seized this opportunity to commit horrific crimes against Iranian nation. Throughout the former Iraqi regime’s chemical attacks against Iranian cities, more than 100,000 Iranians were martyred and injured.

Prior to the chemical bombardment of the city of Sardasht, chemical weapons were only used in World War I and in the US war against Vietnam. In Vietnam War, the Vietnamese farmlands were infected with eighty million liters of poison. The documented evidences which were published in the aftermath of this horrendous and outrageous crime showed the involvement of European and American companies in the former Iraqi regime’s access to chemical and biological warfare. These documents uncovered the role of dozens of German, Dutch, French, Belgian, Russia and American companies in delivery of chemicals to Saddam’s regime. Isn’t such an act a flagrant violation of human rights?

The security expert, Gordon Duff, in a recent interview on the day of campaign against weapons of mass destruction, named the US as Saddam’s partner in crime in usage of chemical weapons against the Iranian nation.

He once again pointed out that amid the imposed war against Iran; Saddam’s regime repeatedly used chemical weapons against the Iranian nation. However, the West is yet to admit to its role and involvement in the imposed war against Iran.

Gordon Duff, who is one of US Vietnam War veterans, in his controversial interview, named the goals of US in the 2003 invasion of Iraq, while also disclosing the usage of depleted uranium by the US forces in this invasion as one of the string of crimes committed by US occupation forces under the pretext of annihilation of Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction.

Meanwhile, the highly destructive chemical weapons are capable of wiping out a number of generations.

In further remarks, Gordon Duff points out that the US administration claims to support humanitarian causes while the international community is witness to US offensives against other countries under the banner of support for freedom and democracy. In the meantime, documented evidences prove beyond doubt that the US runs chemical weapons production factories and installations in Georgia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. These installations operate in the said countries under the cover of agricultural and medical research centers. Every time the nature of these operations is revealed by the whistleblowers; the US officials transfer these factories to other locations as a means to keep them running.

The world powers consider possession of weapons of mass destruction as a prestige and sign of development. However, the fact of the matter is that usage of weapons of mass destruction can claim thousands of innocent lives in a moment, which is an unforgivable sin and a prime example of breach of human rights.

This is also the case in regard to nuclear disarmament. In the 21st Century, the US has stockpiled the highest number of nuclear warheads.

Based on recent reports, roughly 16,000 nuclear weapons have been stockpiled by nine states in the world, while 90% of these nuclear warheads belong to the US and Russia. Moreover, some of these nuclear warfares are more powerful that the nuclear bombs which destroyed the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The incumbent US president, Barack Obama, vowed to promote the global campaign against proliferation of atomic weapons. However, he is yet to deliver on his pledge, while the US regime continues to upgrade its nuclear arsenal. The US currently intends to implement a 25-year plan to upgrade its strategic atomic weapons.

The US anti-human policies are nothing new. Reports have revealed that from 1940-1990, American soldiers and mercenaries which were recruited by the US from other countries were used as guinea pigs. Based on these reports, these individuals were exposed to the radiations of nuclear explosions within laboratories and were also used for chemical and biological experiments.

Meanwhile, the US and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO) forces, in their offensives in the Balkan war, and in their wars against Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya made use of depleted uranium. In the 20th Century, the West tried to redraw the global map under the banner of support for democracy and human rights. However, the truth is that the military prowess of the US and NATO, in the aftermath of 9/11 has only brought about terrorism, war, and insecurity for world nations, and has solely wreaked havoc in the region, particularly in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya.

The US president, Barack Obama, still tries to justify US bullish policies by referring to the US so-called especial status in the world. He also speaks of what he refers to as American values. However, the US bleak record of conduct shows that the US claims to support freedom, democracy, and human rights are nothing but sheer lies.

The fact of the matter is that the US regime has invested billions of dollars for production of chemical and biological weapons.
