American occupied Afghanistan continues to be in the grip of insecurity.

American occupied Afghanistan continues to be in the grip of insecurity as bomb blasts by terrorists of various hue and colour frequently rock the capital and other cities, with the government seemingly helpless in protecting the citizens from the rising death toll. Over the past few days, a series of terrorist attacks has left the country paralyzed.

On January 20 the Kabul Intercontinental Hotel was besieged by terrorists who held several people hostage, resulting in the death of over 40 persons. Next came the cowardly attack on a hospital where the terrorists triggered blasts through an explosive-laden ambulance on January 27, martyring over a hundred innocent men, women and children, and leaving more than 250 others injured. The Taliban claimed responsibility for both the attacks.

Two days later on January 29, the dastardly Daesh terrorists, whom the American occupying forces have secretly brought to Afghanistan following their defeats in Syria and Iraq, attacked an army post near with rocket-propelled grenades and automatic rifles near the well-defended Marshal Fahim Military Academy, leaving eleven soldiers killed and 16 wounded.

It seems there is a contest of savagery between Taliban and the newly arrived Daesh terrorists to outdo each other and plunge the country into a bloodbath. This raises several questions on the real perpetrators plotting the current mayhem.

Iran’s English language daily Kayhan International has a viewpoint in this regard in its Monday, January 29 issue titled: “Terrorist Blasts in Afghanistan Raise a Host of Questions”.
Sunday, which was observed as a day of national mourning in Afghanistan following the explosive-filled ambulance blast at a hospital in Kabul the day before by the Saudi-backed Taliban terrorists that resulted in the martyrdom of over a hundred men, women, and children and injury to more than 250 others, should make every Afghan citizen lament the fate of their American-occupied country.

This grief ought not to be of despair or frustration at the vulnerability of the government security system but should jolt the national conscience of multiethnic Afghanistan to the undesirable presence of the US forces and their nefarious goals, especially after Washington’s stealth transportation of the defeated Daesh terrorists from Syria and Iraq.

What have the US forces done over the past 17 years for the benefit of the Afghan people, and why do they want to linger indefinitely, with periodic increase of troops?

Are they fighting terrorism or are they secretly aiding and abetting the terrorists?

Has poppy cultivation and drug smuggling decreased or increased during this long presence of the Americans?

How come the elected government feels shy in asking the US occupation forces to leave, despite the fact they are a liability for the nation and never were they an asset for the development of Afghanistan?

Wouldn’t the training and absorption in the security network of the popular mobilization forces – on the patterns of Lebanon’s legendry anti-terrorist movement, the Hezbollah and the heroic Hashd ash-Sha’bi of Iraq – who are more dedicated to the national cause and more competent in confronting terrorists than the US-recruited salaried cadets, be a wise decision by the government?

Kayhan International said: Underdeveloped Afghanistan, which is rich in natural resources and is strategically located at the crossroads of South, Central and West Asia, should deeply ponder on these questions and come up with the right answers in order to end once and for all the chronic terrorist menace.

Of course, the US occupiers will never permit authorities in Kabul to think positively, especially regarding the last proposal of popular mobilization forces because of Washington’s complicity with the terrorists, coupled with the hegemonic desire to indefinitely stay in Afghanistan, but the government should realize that it has got sincere friends in the region, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as one of these, is ready to offer its help and expertise.

Meanwhile, the terrorists should be condemned in the strongest possible terms, along with practical and well-planned measures to rid the country of their presence, rather than yielding any ground to their unjust demands.

Those who wantonly shed Muslim blood, and that too of the innocent masses, and even in hospitals, schools, and mosques, cannot be called Muslims, no matter if they shout Allah-o-Akbar, claim to implement the shar’iah in areas under their control, and hastily form rows to pray at the call of the Azan – most probably without proper ablution.

Sincere expression of the Majesty of God (Allah-o-Akbar) instills hearts with the essence of faith, that is, compassion and humanitarian values, and certainly not barbarism, while the shari’ah is too dynamic a code of laws to be left to the whims of terrorists whose inhuman lust for Muslim blood, uncouth appearance and unkempt beards, are indicative of the fact that they have little knowledge of Islam and no proper information, whatsoever, of the exemplary life, behaviour, and practice of the Mercy unto the whole creation – Prophet Muhammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny).
Thus, said Kayhan International, in view of these facts, unless the terrorists repent and give up violence, there is no point in talking to them secretly, or for that matter indirectly through mediators of certain Arab regimes, which in fact have created and nurtured the Taliban, Daesh and similar groups.

One last piece of advice to the brotherly Afghan people, with whom Iran shares history, culture, religion, and language: Don’t trust the quixotic Donald Trump or his civilian and military officials.

He is a sadistic guy, and it cannot be ruled out that the Americans, after bringing into Afghanistan the dastardly Daesh have arranged a contest of savagery with the Taliban to unleash torrents of terrorism so that the White House could enjoy from afar the deathly game of gladiators.
