Grossi: IAEA seeks to play positive role in Iran-US talks

Pars Today - The director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated that he is in contact with the American negotiator to explore how the IAEA can serve as a bridge between Iran and the U.S. and help achieve a positive outcome in negotiations.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday morning (April 17), after meeting with the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, the Director General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi said: "He had an excellent meeting with Eslami and held very deep and honest discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi the previous day." Regarding his visit to the exhibition of Iran’s nuclear achievements, Grossi added that these achievements and scientific projects in the nuclear fields are exactly what the IAEA needs in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. / IRNA
