  • Unveiling of five new pharmaceutical drugs in Iran

Pars Today – In a special ceremony on Tuesday (29 April), attended by Iran's minister of cooperatives, employment and social security, and the first vice president of Zimbabwe, five new Iranian-made pharmaceutical drugs were unveiled.

Speaking at the ceremony, Iran's minister of cooperatives, employment and social security, Ahmad Maydari said Zimbabwe has invited Iranian pharmaceutical companies to further develop, expand and upgrade vaccine production facilities in Zimbabwe.

Maydari added:  "Zimbabwe is the gateway for export of Iran's pharmaceutical drugs and medicines to the African continent and as such Iran's exports to Zimbabwe are very important and a definite advantage for Iran's economy."

For his part, Constantino Chiounga, the first vice president of Zimbabwe, said his country is very keen to expand and strengthen commercial and business ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran. He added: "Iran produces high quality pharmaceutical drugs, and we welcome the import of Iranian-made medicinal drugs into our country."/ IRIB news agency
