Rear Admiral Sayyari: Persian Gulf has existed, exists, and will always exist

Pars Today – The chief of staff and coordinating deputy of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army, marking the 30th of April as National Persian Gulf Day in the Iranian calendar, emphasized on Tuesday that “The Persian Gulf has existed, exists, and will always exist.”

At the 3rd International Conference on Marine Sciences held at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Tehran, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari highlighted the importance of the sea and discussed the key factors contributing to a nation’s maritime power. He identified geographical location, national characteristics, population, natural features, coastline length, and God-given territorial expanse as central elements. The chief of staff and coordinating deputy of Iran’s Army described the sea as a source of wealth and power, emphasizing that, given Iran’s territorial features, the country must move toward cultivating a maritime culture./ IRIB news agency
