Hezbollah: US sanctions are ineffective

Pars Today - A member of Hezbollah’s Political Council in Lebanon, while dismissing the new sanctions of the US Treasury Department, emphasized on Friday that the Resistance’s weapon can only be handed over to the Lebanese government if real security guarantees are provided.

Ghalib Abu Zainab announced that the recent US sanctions against institutions affiliated with Hezbollah are only for psychological pressure and have no practical or structural impact on this party. The member of Hezbollah’s Political Council, stating that these actions are in continuation of Washington’s constant policy to show dominance over the region, said: “This is not the first time that the US has put Hezbollah on the blacklist to impose its will; such an action is part of their propaganda to convey power.”/ ISNA
