Oman's FM: Ties with Iran rooted in mutual respect and cooperation
Pars Today – Oman’s foreign minister said on Tuesday that relations between his country and the Islamic Republic of Iran are longstanding, deep-rooted, and solid, based on mutual respect and trust, and the two countries’ constructive cooperation brings benefit and prosperity to both neighboring nations and the wider region.
Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi told reporters that Oman is eagerly looking forward to launching a new phase in relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran following the Iranian president’s visit to Muscat. He said this new stage should elevate bilateral ties to broader and greater horizons in various political, diplomatic, economic, trade, and cultural fields.
On the nuclear talks between Iran and the United States, the Omani foreign minister added that the negotiations are ongoing, and expressed hope that they will lead to a favorable outcome acceptable to both sides. / IRIB news agency
