The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan said bilateral trade between Iran and Turkmenistan, given the existing capacities in both countries, could reach $5 billion annually, and that extensive efforts are underway to expand economic cooperation.
Speaking at a specialized meeting titled “Familiarization with Trade Opportunities and the Development of Relations with Turkmenistan” in Bojnourd on Saturday, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbahani noted that Iran's current exports to Turkmenistan have reached approximately $100 million. However, given the favorable conditions, plans are in place to raise that figure to three and even five billion dollars. (IRNA)
