UN chief warns again about situation in Gaza and West Bank

Pars Today – The United Nations secretary-general once again on Tuesday warned of the deteriorating situation in Gaza and the West Bank, calling for an immediate ceasefire in the besieged enclave.

Antonio Guterres stressed that the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is “worse than anyone can imagine.” He stated, “We need an immediate ceasefire in the Strip and unrestricted humanitarian access for its people. A ceasefire alone is not enough—we need one that leads to a complete end to this situation.”

He pointed to unprecedented levels of death and destruction in Gaza in modern times and also addressed the ceasefire between Iran and the Zionist regime. Without acknowledging that Israel initiated the 12-day war, he called for the ceasefire to be upheld.
