Exhibition on martyred Minab children held outside UN headquarters in Geneva

Pars Today- An exhibition on the martyred children of Minab has been held outside the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, organized by two Iranian civil activists living in the city.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, the exhibition on the martyred children of Minab opened on Saturday at Place des Nations, in front of the main entrance to the United Nations headquarters and next to Geneva’s famous “Broken Chair” — a well-known symbol of the consequences of war and violence against civilians — and will continue through Tuesday, September 22.

The exhibition features images depicting the human tragedy of children martyred by the United States, drawings by the martyred children of Minab, as well as several schoolbags and a number of personal belongings left behind by them, displayed for diplomats, international organization staff, citizens and tourists.

Taken together, the works and objects provide a tangible account of the consequences of war for children and civilians.

The organizers said the aim of the exhibition is to bring the plight of Iranian children and civilians to the attention of global public opinion and the international community, and to protest the silence and inaction of the United Nations and the international community regarding the killing of civilians during the US and Israeli regime’s aggression against Iranian territory.

They also called for accountability for actions as clear instances of war crimes and crimes against humanity, stressing that protecting children and civilians and respecting international humanitarian law must not be sacrificed to political considerations and double standards.
