Italy Calls for an End to Famine and Massacres in Gaza
Pars Today – Italy's Foreign Minister criticized the Zionist regime's actions in Gaza and called for an end to the famine and killings in the strip.
Antonio Tajani, during his speech at a meeting of the National Council of the Forza Italia (FI) party, stated that Rome is committed to peace and condemned the Zionist regime's attacks on Gaza and its restrictions on humanitarian aid to the region. He said: "Italy is one of the countries that has accepted the highest number of refugees from Gaza, but now is the time for an immediate ceasefire and an end to this situation in the strip."
In related news, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni described the situation in Gaza as dire on Wednesday, stating that no military action could justify attacks against civilians. French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday night that Paris would recognize the State of Palestine and would officially announce this decision at the UN General Assembly in September.
