Pars Today – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) issued an urgent warning Monday about the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza, stating that the besieged territory requires between 500 to 600 aid trucks daily to meet basic survival needs.

In a statement, UNRWA emphasized that this massive volume of humanitarian supplies represents the absolute minimum required to address Gaza's unprecedented crisis. The agency urgently called for authorization to allow thousands of aid trucks currently waiting at Egyptian and Jordanian border crossings to immediately enter Gaza.

UNRWA also emphasized that reopening all crossings and allowing the entry of humanitarian aid is the only way to prevent further spread of famine among Gaza’s residents. It warned that one in five children in Gaza City is suffering from malnutrition. The agency also reported a rise in the number of deaths caused by hunger in Gaza.

UNRWA once again called for a ceasefire in Gaza, stressing: We reiterate our call for a prolonged halt to the war within the framework of an agreement that brings relief to the starving population and ensures a continuous flow of essential aid.
