Pars Today — The U.S. president, expressing confidence in the conviction of Nicolás Maduro, the abducted president of Venezuela, described the case against him as “complete and conclusive.”
According to NBC News, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that there is no ultimate goal, and only a lengthy trial for Nicolás Maduro lies ahead. He added: “We’ll see how we act. The case is complete and conclusive.”
In other remarks to the New York Post, Trump said that elections in Venezuela should take place only after the country is stabilized and Maduro is arrested. Regarding Marina Corina Machado, the Venezuelan opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, he stated that she lacks sufficient popular support and could only have won if Trump had backed her. / IRNA
