UN: Over 500,000 people in Gaza face death due to starvation
Pars Today – The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) stressed on Friday that more than half a million people in Gaza are at risk of death from starvation.
The UNFPA stated that pregnant women, infants, and children in Gaza are losing their lives due to hunger and the collapse of health and nutrition services in the besieged strip.
Meanwhile, the Bedouin community of Gaza said in a statement: "The centers distributing U.S. aid are stained with blood, and we refuse to engage with them." They added: "None of the aid entering Gaza has been used by the residents; it has been stolen through the enemy’s actions and in coordination with it."
The Bedouin community further stated: "We call on the free people of the world to come here and witness the catastrophic reality. Approximately 90 Palestinians are martyred every day."
Additionally, the director of medical relief in Gaza said: "Thieves colluding with the occupying regime are stealing aid, while starvation is causing chronic and dangerous diseases among children."
