Pars Today – On Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement condemning the assassination of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran as a heinous crime and a flagrant violation of international legal principles, national sovereignty, and Iran’s territorial integrity.

In the statement released on the first anniversary of the assassination of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh by the Zionist regime, it is noted:
"A year has passed since the martyrdom of the steadfast fighter, Sheikh Ismail Haniyeh, the Head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and one of the prominent leaders of jihad and resistance against the Zionist occupiers."

The statement continues:
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran honors the memory of this great martyr and long-time companion of Martyr Haj Qassem Soleimani. It extends its congratulations and condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the resilient Palestinian people, the family of Martyr Haniyeh, the Hamas movement, all resistance groups in Palestine and the region, and to all freedom-seeking people of the world."

The statement further emphasizes:
"The path of Martyr Haniyeh and other martyrs of the resistance will resolutely continue until the oppressed Palestinian people are liberated from the yoke of occupation and their right to self-determination is fulfilled."
