Pakistan calls for global response against Gaza occupation

Pars Today – On Friday, Pakistan’s Prime Minister strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s cabinet decision to occupy Gaza, stating: “We call for a response and concrete actions from the international community, as this represents a dangerously escalating and catastrophic war against the Palestinian people.”

Shahbaz Sharif wrote on the social media platform X: “The expansion of Israel’s military operations only worsens the current humanitarian crisis and derails any prospects for peace in the region.”

Addressing the global community, the Pakistani Prime Minister emphasized: “We must not lose sight of the root cause of this ongoing tragedy—the prolonged and illegal occupation of Palestinian lands by Israel. As long as this occupation continues, peace will remain out of reach.”

Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan once again reaffirms its unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital, in accordance with relevant United Nations and Organization of Islamic Cooperation resolutions. He called on the international community to intervene immediately to halt Israel’s unlawful aggression without delay.
