Iran: We will stand by the Lebanese people under all circumstances

Pars Today – The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran said on Wednesday that “we will stand by the Lebanese people under all circumstances”, announcing that during his trip to Beirut he will meet with the President, the Speaker of Parliament, the Prime Minister, and some Lebanese experts.

Upon his arrival in Beirut on Wednesday morning, Ali Larijani stated: “There is a continuity between Iranian and Lebanese cultures, which has created a strong bond between the two nations. If one day the Lebanese people suffer, we in Iran also feel this pain.”

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council expressed his gratitude to Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, for facilitating the arrangements for this trip. Several Lebanese citizens went to greet Ali Larijani on the way from the airport to show their support for Iran.

Before visiting Lebanon, Larijani had traveled to Iraq on his first trip after being appointed Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
