John Bolton: Putin was the winner of the Alaska meeting

Pars Today – On Friday evening local time, former U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton commented on the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, stating that Putin was the clear winner of the session.

Speaking to CNN, Bolton said that while Trump was not defeated at the Alaska meeting, Putin clearly prevailed and achieved most of his objectives, whereas Trump gained little. The former U.S. National Security Advisor added that Trump appeared very tired after the meeting with Putin. Although he did not seem discouraged, his fatigue was evident, prompting reflection on whether it was due to not achieving the desired outcomes in the discussions or other factors.

Trump and Putin held the meeting on Friday, August 15, in Alaska to discuss ending the Russia-Ukraine war, but no reliable report on the results of this session has been released so far.
