Pars Today - Delcy Rodríguez, the Vice President of Venezuela, warned Washington about any potential "military aggression" against the country, stating that such attacks would be met with fierce resistance.

Rodríguez said on Friday: "Those who are considering a military invasion of Venezuela should know that it will end very badly for them, and we will become their nightmare. American warmongers, stand down."

The Vice President of Venezuela emphasized: "Fascists, in line with American actions, intend to seize control of Venezuela's wealth and resources."

Tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela have escalated, with Washington sending three warships and over four thousand naval infantry personnel near Venezuelan waters under the pretext of combating drug trafficking.

On Tuesday, an American source told AFP that U.S. President Donald Trump intends to send two additional warships to the Caribbean Sea.

Following the deployment of three U.S. destroyers near its waters, the Venezuelan government sent its own warships and drones to patrol coastal areas.

Washington has also recently doubled its bounty for the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on drug trafficking charges to $50 million. Maduro has accused the U.S. of attempting to overthrow the Venezuelan government.
