Pars Today – The Washington Post has acknowledged growing distrust among Arab Gulf countries toward the United States.

According to the American newspaper, the Israeli attack on Doha has made Persian Gulf Arab states uncertain about America’s ability to provide them with protection.

The report states that Tel Aviv’s attack on Doha demonstrated that the U.S. either cannot or does not want to restrain the Zionist regime when it strikes Washington’s allies.

Analysts believe that Israel’s approval of the attack has fueled anger and distrust among Persian Gulf Arab countries, making them feel exposed to similar risks and view the U.S. as an unreliable security partner. Washington, they argue, limits itself to symbolic statements without taking deterrent actions against Tel Aviv.

The report adds that Arab countries currently have no active alternative to U.S. security guarantees. / Mehr News Agency
