Ceasefire agreement in Gaza and prisoner exchange
Pars Today – A spokesperson for the Israeli cabinet announced that the release of all Israeli captives will begin in the early hours of Monday, followed by the operation to free Palestinian detainees.
Shosh Pedrosoian, the cabinet spokesperson, stated that all Israeli captives scheduled for release will first be handed over to Israeli authorities. He added that the Israeli army has withdrawn to the “yellow line” and that all prisoners are expected to be freed in the very near future.
Pedrosoian expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for his role in facilitating the agreement with Hamas.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) officially announced the achievement of a Gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange. In its statement, Hamas said that following responsible and serious negotiations among Palestinian resistance groups regarding the U.S. President’s proposal in Sharm El-Sheikh—aimed at ending the genocidal war against the Palestinian people—the occupying forces have begun withdrawing from the Gaza Strip. / IRNA
