Pars Today – Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), emphasized the urgent need for large-scale humanitarian aid to reach the Gaza Strip.
In a post on X Monday night, Lazzarini wrote: “The time has come to build a future based on peace — through reconstruction, justice, and mutual recognition — in the Gaza Strip.”
Lazzarini added that it is now time to allow large-scale humanitarian assistance — including through UNRWA — to enter Gaza.
The UNRWA Commissioner-General’s remarks came following the recent exchange of Palestinian and Israeli prisoners, which was part of the ceasefire and prisoner swap agreement between Hamas and Israel. / IRNA
