Spanish PM: Peace must not shield perpetrators of Gaza genocide

Pars Today – On Tuesday, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez stated that peace cannot mean forgetting or granting immunity from accountability.

Sánchez emphasized that those who played key roles in the genocide in Gaza must be held accountable before justice. He made these remarks in an interview with a Spanish radio station following the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza.

The Spanish Prime Minister, who attended the Gaza ceasefire signing ceremony in Egypt on Monday, did not rule out sending Spanish forces to Gaza as peacekeepers and confirmed that Madrid will maintain Israel’s arms embargo until the ceasefire is firmly established and the process moves decisively toward peace.
