Pars Today – Members of Israel’s Knesset are set to review a proposed bill to impose Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank in its first reading.
Amid U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance’s visit to the Occupied Territories, far-right Knesset members will discuss the West Bank annexation bill on Wednesday. The legislation was proposed by Avi Maoz, head of the Orthodox Noam party, who met with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday night to discuss the bill. Maoz’s request to postpone the proposal in the general session was rejected. Emphasizing his intent to advance the bill in the Knesset, Maoz stated that the time has come for Israel to implement and declare sovereignty. /IRNA
